About Yujin Fujiwara

Yujin Fujiwara (@poropiore) is a pioneering "Sound Sculptor" who creates acoustic environments as a new form of interior design. A graduate of Yokohama National University's Faculty of Business Administration, he discovered beatboxing just before graduation and has since evolved into a multifaceted sound artist, redefining the boundaries between music, space, and sensory experience.

His groundbreaking concept of "Sound Interior" treats sound as an essential element of spatial design, similar to fragrance or ambient lighting. Through his innovative work with vibration technology and the development of L-yujin speakers in collaboration with Kazeotoshoku Co., Ltd., he has made music accessible to deaf communities, proving that sound is not just heard but felt throughout the body.

From prestigious installations at the Qatar International Horticultural Exposition 2023 to performances at CES Las Vegas, Fujiwara's work spans commercial spaces, luxury hotels, medical facilities, and international exhibitions, always focused on creating healing environments through sound.

Sound Philosophy

Sound is not merely something to be heard—it is a vital element that affects the heart and body, supporting mental stability and physical health. My concept of "Sound Interior" reimagines music as an environmental element to be enjoyed like fragrance or ambient lighting, creating acoustic spaces that nurture the human spirit.

Through my work with Chladni patterns and acoustic visualization, I explore how sound vibrations create beautiful geometric patterns, bridging the gap between the audible and visible worlds. This research, combined with 24-bit high-resolution audio and non-audible frequency design, creates experiences that can be "felt" by the entire body, not just heard by the ears.

Major Projects

**Qatar International Horticultural Exposition 2023** - Collaborated with architect Kiyoto Tamotsu to design the acoustic environment for the Japan Pavilion, creating a fusion of tradition and modernity in the space known for its fractal sunshades.

**Haneda Airport Garden TOBIBITO** - Designed the sound environment for the National Museum's official shop, creating an innovative work that expresses both "have a safe trip" and "welcome back" in a single sound.

**CES 2023 Las Vegas** - Performed beatbox, loop station, and guitar at the Japan Tech booth, showcasing Japanese acoustic technology on an international stage.

**L-yujin Speaker Development** - Revolutionary healing speakers developed with Kazeotoshoku Co., Ltd., combining Manners Sound technology with vibration technology accessible to the hearing impaired.

Social Impact

My work extends beyond entertainment to address critical social challenges. Through vibration technology, I've made music accessible to the deaf community—witnessing deaf children at the front row beginning to dance to the rhythm is a testament to sound's universal nature. The L-yujin speakers have been implemented in medical facilities, maternity wards, hospices, and elder care centers, providing therapeutic acoustic environments.

I also consider the well-being of animals, developing sound solutions to reduce stress in pets during thunderstorms or fireworks, and creating calming environments for animals left alone at home. This holistic approach to sound design demonstrates how acoustic innovation can improve quality of life across all living beings.

For me, Zenxury represents the ultimate luxury of creating spaces through sound—the privilege of sculpting invisible architecture that nurtures the soul. It's about transcending the traditional boundaries of music to create "Sound Interior," where acoustic environments become as essential as fragrance or lighting in defining our living spaces.

Zenxury is the luxury of universal accessibility—making sound tangible for those who cannot hear, creating healing environments in medical facilities, and bringing peace to anxious pets. Through our L-yujin speakers and vibration technology, we're not just playing music; we're creating experiences that can be felt by every body, regardless of ability. This is true luxury: breaking down barriers and fostering connections through the sculptural qualities of sound.

My hope is that this architectural style of sound will deliver green landscapes to every corner of the earth, bringing healing to all who visit. Through the power of sound, we can create peace in the world—this is the essence of Zenxury.
